Our String Quartet is a perfect choice if you would prefer mainly classical traditional pieces, whilst still offering lighter songs in a classical style.
The String Quartet can also perform music instrumental covers from several genres, in a classical style, which provides a lovely harmonious atmosphere.

When you book our String Quartet, we generally wear elegant long black dresses.

Sound Enhancement Service: Amplification with professional sound engineer, recommended if you are expecting more than 70 guests.
Hand Held Microphones: If you have booked the Sound Enhancement Service, you can also book the hand held microphones to make any speeches required, during our booking times. Extra time on request.
Lighting: Book our up lighters, to add extra visual atmosphere to your event. Power supply required.
Photographers and Videographers: Blue Topaz Strings can recommend trusted professional photographers and videographers to capture your special event.
Bands and Evening Entertainment: We are delighted to recommend bands and evening entertainment for weddings and parties on request.
Our String Quartet has two violins, viola and cello. We find that this combination of instruments is more suited to playing classical repertoire such as Handel, Bach, Mozart and Schubert.
Our String Trio is a unique line up of two violins and double bass. We have found that by including a double bass in our trio, we can add an extra vitality to the pop and jazz pieces when the bass player taps and plucks the strings.
Absolutely not! Our String Quartet appeals to all age ranges. We have played for Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs, at hundreds of weddings & anniversary parties for couples of all ages, for corporate events spanning young professionals to CEOs, plus many a big birthday to the age of ninety!
The String Quartet performs the well known and loved classics such as Vivaldi’s Four Seasons or Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nacht Music. Perfect for those clients who prefer a more traditional approach.
If you love to hear mainly modern songs on strings, why not choose our String Trio or String Quintet.
We also arrange and take music commissions on request, and no song is too big, too small, too outlandish or unusual!
Due to the bespoke nature of the service we provide, our fees are dependent on factors such as the length of time required, travel time, the time of year and additional services. We therefore prefer to quote for each individual booking, however as a guide our String Quartet prices start from £850.
For larger events and receptions, we recommend hire of our Sound Enhancement Service, in order to boost our sound to a level which is appropriate for your event.
This service includes all necessary safety checked equipment and our sound engineer to oversee the booking.
We can also bring along lighting to highlight the performance area and can include a vocal microphone for any speeches you may be having. All our equipment is PAT tested and fully insured.
