What Would Be Your Wedding Soundtrack?

After the recent roadmap from the government on how the UK is going to get back to some kind of normality, here at Blue Topaz Strings we are looking forward to getting back out there and making your musical wishes come true!

So the big question is, what music do you like to hear at weddings?! As the main arranger for the group, I have the awesome job of writing our bespoke arrangements for The Exclusive String Trio and The Exclusive String Quintet.

These groups are a ‘best seller’ for a reason! With either two or four violins and double bass, they create a unique sound that you simply won’t get from a traditional string quartet, that is full of energy and excitement!

I have had some amazing requests from clients ranging from the old soul classics like At Last by Etta James (which I actually walked down the aisle to myself, performed by The Exclusive Trio – naturally!), to more modern day requests such as Marry You by Bruno Mars.

I have to say, my absolute favourites are the 80s classics. There’s just something about the way the songs were written back then that makes for a perfect arrangement. The bass lines are amazing, there’s always a catchy chorus and without exception you can guarantee people will always start singing along when we perform pieces such as Summer of ‘69 or Sweet Child O’ Mine!

So as we are preparing to perform once more I’d like you to tell me your top song that you’d like to hear, so I can arrange some more favourites for the two groups.
