Where do we play at a Hever Castle Wedding?
The Loggia:
Are you having or considering a beautiful Italian Garden Hever Castle Wedding? We can play for your big day outside on the loggia. Here is a film we shot exactly here following a Hever Castle Wedding in September 2019:
The Tudor Suite:
If you are expecting between 25-60 guests we can also play in the Astor Wing in the Tudor Suite with its stunning oak panelling. The Tudor Suite also has a terrace where we have performed as the weather allows!
The Music Room:
The Music Room in the Astor Wing offers an inside space for reception drinks where we fit nicely in one corner.
The Castle:
Not to forget the Castle itself of course! Suitable for small wedding parties of 25-40 guests.
What do we play?
Do you enjoy a mix of musical styles? Our best selling string groups are our String Trio and String Quintet of violins and double bass. These groups play a mix of classical, jazz and pop with an emphasis on the more modern and pop songs. The inclusion of the double bass brings a rich warm sound to the classical pieces and a great energy to the more upbeat songs.
We also offer a traditional classical string quartet or even a full string orchestra!
When do we perform at your Hever Castle Wedding?
You can book us to perform at any point during your day but these are the 5 moments that work especially brilliantly with 1-3 being our most popular package.
1. Pre Wedding Ceremony Welcome Music:
Such an important part of the day – the very start where brides and grooms to be may feel a little on edge and relatives may need to be put at their ease. Music here can make such a difference and add a lovely welcoming atmosphere enabling everyone to feel calm but excited about the day.
2. The Ceremony itself:
Whether the red carpet is out and the walk is long over the lawns to the loggia or whether you have chosen a more intimate Tudor Suite ceremony, the walking down the aisle song is perhaps the most important and key point for many brides and grooms. Having a string version of your favourite song here can heighten the emotion and make this a moment that you will never ever forget.
Canon in D is by far and away the most popular choice for the entrance piece. Here is our version:
3. The Drinks Reception
Whether you are admiring the view of the lake whilst sipping champagne at the loggia or enjoying a long overdue catchup with friends and family whilst lounging in the Astor Wing, having a joyful musical accompaniment at just the right volume in the background can make the atmosphere fizz and sparkle! You can pick out your favourites from our list or just let us play ours – as you prefer! Live drinks reception music is a must!
There are so many songs we love playing for the drinks. Here is our version of Moondance by Van Morrison!
4. The Wedding Breakfast:
If you don’t want us to leave we can reset and play during your meal. It can be nice to play some relaxing jazz, romantic classical or modern love songs here.
5. Post Dinner Entertainment:
This has become increasingly popular for Hever Castle weddings with around 40 guests or fewer. Couples are keen that their guests stick around and our music ensures that the vibe continues! We are permitted to play in the Astor Wing until late where louder bands are not, and the natural sound of our instruments is perfect to create the right atmosphere!
